Hey Ancient Ways Friends and Family, amazing news!!
First, I want to say how much it has meant to receive all the messages of support from so many of you. It truly warms my heart. Many of you have offered to help paint, clean, relocate equipment, donate funds, and even help with my parents’ situation. Thank you all so much. You have no idea how much it means to my family and me.
Now for the big news…
We are moving to Saddle Creek Plaza!

This was an incredible find for us because it requires no demolition to get classes started. It will take some time before it fully feels like “Ancient Ways,” but being able to begin training immediately is huge for me. We’ll start painting right away, and the rest of the build-out will happen over time.
We will officially begin classes tomorrow, Thursday, May 14th, 2026, on our regular schedule, starting with the adult class at 11 AM.
I ask for a little patience as we transition. Our flooring will be different for a while, and we won’t yet have proper storage or office space, but we do have plenty of training floor space, which was the most important thing to me. We’ll be bringing over equipment this weekend and throughout next week, but we already have enough to get started.
Over the past 48 hours, I personally looked at more than 20 possible locations. Some were really great spaces, but most would have required months of permits, demolition, and construction before we could reopen. I didn’t want to be away from you all that long. You are my priority.
Many of you asked how you can help.
My wife Jamie is organizing a select painting crew. We also have volunteers forming cleaning and moving crews. If you’d like to help with any of those, please let me know. No kids, please.

Between moving expenses, flooring, relocating mirrors (and replacing any that break), and building out storage and office areas, there are a lot of costs ahead. Anything helps, and it is deeply appreciated.
As for my parents, I am currently leading the effort to move them into an assisted living facility. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do emotionally, physically, and financially. Taking care of our elderly should be one of the easiest things in the world, not one of the hardest. We owe them our lives, our culture, our society…we owe them everything.
For those of you who know my 88-year-old parents, you know they are sweet, funny, compassionate people with incredible stories of adventure. Our family history stretches back hundreds of years. My family tree traces back to Strom, Scotland in 390 AD. One of my first ancestors on this continent was Captain Tucker in 1621, who came during the Indian Wars. The Browns were originally the Bruins, but the name changed over time through pronunciation. They were carriage builders who came to America in the 1720s.
Now I need to get busy preparing for your classes tomorrow.
