Dear new Ancient Ways parents,

Even though everyone comes here to AWMAA for different reasons, we can still offer a different, guiding experience for each student. For instance, you may notice we are stronger coaches with certain students who are more coachable and are ready to get pushed. Some need it and thrive on it. Other times we will pour on the specific and exacting praise and extra specific guidance for those who need to build their confidence first. Everyone has a different path. This is why we have different programs such as Core, Black Belt Club. Master’s Club, Leadership Team and Legacy, just so that we can address each individual’s goals.

Now, the reality is that kids just want to have fun, that’s their goal. They aren’t to an age that they can rationalize how much this is going to positively change their lives. That’s why we need to get to know you, and what goals you have for your child. Our goal is not to entertain your child. Although we want them to love martial arts like we do. Our overall mission is to use the training in practical martial arts training to give them the strength, resiliency, self-discipline, perseverance and confidence so they can, more easily, make their own lives whatever they choose as they grow into powerful adults.
