
Sometimes “letting them choose” isn’t the best choice. ![]()
Some decisions, they aren’t qualified to make.
Looking back, there are so many things I wanted to quit as a kid because they were “too hard” or I “just wasn’t feeling it,” or I was just being lazy. Now, I look at my old uniform and my first Black Belt and realize that those were the moments I needed a little push the most.
It’s a tough balance as a parent, but discipline and perseverance are lessons that last a lifetime. I am so glad my parents didn’t let me quit martial arts back then. How will your child’s future self feel if you let them quit?
