I Noticed You Missed Graduation
Hey, I noticed you didn’t graduate last week. Remember, we move on to the next semester’s material whether you test or not. If you felt like you weren’t ready, that’s understandable, we are never as good as we want to be, but this is an academy, not a gym. You are required to test and do your best.
Let me see if I can explain this, we are a Black Belt school. What that means is that we really aren’t all that concerned with the fine tuning of technique at lower belt ranks. Everyone is working at different levels anyway, even within the same belt rank…until you hit your Red Senior. At that point, it all begins to come together, and everyone is amazing when they go on to Black Belt.
You will end up doing all this material again as a Red Senior anyway. Look, even if you have it perfectly memorized today, you aren’t going to remember it when you get to Red Senior. The only reason you might wait is if you have only attended a small number of classes for the semester. So, test, move on and let’s get that Black Belt.
