I’m often asked, “what does martial arts training cost?” The answer is complicated as we have several programs (with 4 different easy pay options each), and need to do an evaluation of each student before we know which program is going to be best for them. So we sell a Starter Program that allows us to evaluate the student and gives them the opportunity to try us out too. The starter program can be accessed elsewhere on this site, but I also have some questions to ask you?
What is the cost to build strength in a child, so they become a tough and resilient adult?
What is the value of instilling a strong work ethic in your child?
What is the value of the peace of mind that your child will never be victimized or abused?
What is the value of a developing strong sense of right and wrong?
What is the value of encouraging a child to live a virtuous life?
What is the cost of physical therapy for a child with developmental or delayed mobility issues?
What is the cost to pay the medical bills for being attacked, mugged…or worse?
What does it cost to replace the self esteem in children who are bullied?
What does it cost to reunite your child after they are abducted?
What does it cost for the court fees and fines when your child is pressured into doing something unwise because they lacked the confidence (or positive influence) to stand up to peer pressure?
What does it cost for a personal trainer who makes sure you work hard every class, not because you pay them, but because they sincerely care?
What does it cost when you child keeps quitting jobs, school, relationships, etc because they never developed perseverance?
What does it cost to rebuild a broken person when they can’t discipline themselves to do the right thing and stop doing the wrong things?
What is the cost of a therapist to help with anxiety issues, anger issues, self-esteem, overcoming life’s challenges?
I’m not saying martial arts training can do all of that, but in my 36 years of teaching, these are some of the benefits I’ve heard from students and parents. Martial arts training does cost money. Our staff spent their lives traveling the world, experiencing some pretty harsh realities and investing in their education so they can share this with our students. Don’t see this as spending money on martial arts training, it’s a smart investment in your future or the future of your child. The returns on that investment can be incredibly, positively life impacting. No one ever earns their Black Belt and regrets it.
