Parents, how about this. You get home from a long day at work, you get into your comfortable clothes, you start to get engaged in your favorite show or hobby, then we try to get you to go to the gym, or karate class?
Yeah, this is exactly why Johnny fusses about coming to class.
Notice when you get him here, he is smiling and has a great time? He is so glad he came. Plus, you see the improvements in the goals you want for him, improved confidence, focus, respect, discipline, work ethic, follow through, perseverance, fitness, socializing, bully proofing, stranger safety, inner resiliency, goal setting, etc.
Make sure your child is either coming straight from school or doing something not-so-fun before class, like chores. “As soon as those dishes are finished, we’re going to martial arts!” That sounds much better than “Put up the video game, it’s time for martial arts.”
The Results are worth it, No one ever says, “Darn you mom and dad for helping me get my Black Belt.”
